Finding Freedom from
Debt & Burnout
The Goal: to progress from being "a typical physician" to being an "a-typical physician", challenging the status quo and reaping the quality of life rewards that come with living a life filled with purpose.
What's this all about anyways?
That's a question I continue to ask myself and the answer at the time of writing is that I'm a physician who's dissatisfied with the constricted life plan handed to medical students and residents as they step out to pursue a career in medicine. Frequently they are instructed in the options of working as an employed physician in a hospital, clinic or more rarely private practice. This leaves out so many other possible career paths that many miss through a lack of knowing they exist and end up working a less-than-satisfying career.
The other side of this proverbial coin is the lack of financial education given to learners at all levels of schooling. Unless someone majors in business/finance, has a strong family financial literacy background or has a personal interest towards financial self-education they're not likely to learn the tools to enable financial freedom and all the benefits it provides. This site came about out of my own personal finance journey, career path searches and wanting to have a source to refer folks to that summarizes all that I've learned thus far.
